The meeting with students and faculty opened a series of lectures and workshops by specialists of the Service in Various Areas of the Department’s Work.

He was welcomed by Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector, noting the significant transformation of the Department’s work model: “Today, the Federal Tax Service is the digital transformation leader of the whole country, which provides one of the main directions of development – client-centricity”.

Daniil Egorov spoke about the priority areas of development based on modern principles of interaction with taxpayers. He highlighted such trends as the continued development of interactive services to improve the service quality and taxpayers’ comfort, the reduction of paper document flow and contactless service. It is also important to manage big data and continue the business processes’ digitalization, as understanding the business models, current needs and user experience of taxpayers are of great importance. Daniil Egorov stressed that it is the high-quality interaction of the Tax Service and taxpayers’ ecosystems that will allow building the process of tax administration with the lowest costs for both sides.

During the lecture, special attention was paid to the transition to a client-centered model, the formation of which is being actively implemented in the tax authorities at the present time as part of a federal project. One of the most important factors of its functioning, the Head of the Federal Tax Service called the collection and comprehensive objective analysis of feedback from taxpayers.

After the lecture, the participants of the meeting asked Daniil Egorov questions about data protection and information management, the role of artificial intelligence in taxation, and the further trend development for digital transformation. Summing up the meeting, the Head of the Federal Tax Service once again stressed the importance of building trusting relationships with taxpayers and creating a transparent and understandable work model.
