On October 17, 2022, an online meeting was held between representatives of the FinU and those of the Lovely Professional University, Republic of India, the purpose of which was to discuss issues of international cooperation between universities in the educational and scientific fields.

On behalf of the FinU, the meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of International Cooperation L.V. Prikhodko, Scientific Director of the Faculty of International Economic Relations A.I. Ilyinsky, First Deputy Dean T.A. Goroshnikova, Deputy Dean for International Cooperation E.S. Smakhtin, Head of the Department of World Economy and International Business A.A. Grishkova, who provided information on the main activities of the Faculty and ongoing international projects.

Professor A.I. Ilyinsky and the Head of the Department of World Economy and International Business A.A. Grishkova spoke at the meeting with information about the creation of a new program focused on studying the experience of the Indian economy, discussed modern geopolitical trends, and came to an agreement that representatives of the Lovely Professional University will act as experts in the new educational program.

Representatives of the Lovely Professional University, Senior Dean of the Mittal School of Business Dr. Rajesh Verma and Head of Economics Department Dr. Pooja Kansra, who made a response speech, thanked the FinU administration for the opportunity to discuss topical issues on the joint projects’ development in the field of science and education.

Following the meeting, the parties identified key areas of academic and scientific cooperation, among which special attention was paid to expert participation in joint scientific and educational projects, prospects for cooperation in educational exchange student programs, as well as opportunities for participation in the “Visiting Professor” program.

Representatives of the Lovely Professional University noted that they fully support the cooperation development between the Russian Federation and the Republic of India in the field of science and education, and agreed to continue joint meetings in the near future.
