On September 29, 2022, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the FinU and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) took place. The solemn event was held as part of the panel discussion of the XXVI International Scientific and Practical Conference of Rospatent, dedicated to measures and tools to support startups.
According to the document signed by Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector, and Yuri Zubov, Head of Rospatent, the interaction will contribute to the Institute of Intellectual property development.
As part of the partnership, it is planned to organize joint scientific and practical events and projects aimed at stimulating the inventive activity of young people.
"The Financial University attaches great importance to the development of intellectual property and instills a culture of working with it since the student years. As part of partnership with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, a wide range of cooperation areas in the field of education, science and the organization of joint events aimed at supporting initiatives that are being formed at the University have been identified," the FinU Rector said.
Stanislav Prokofiev also expressed gratitude to the Service experts for promoting the student startups development and stressed that the agreement conclusion will contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial university concept.
Head of Rospatent, Yuri Zubov, in turn, also noted the importance of interaction between the Service and the FinU for the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of financial, economic and intellectual activities.
In conclusion, the parties expressed hope for effective and fruitful cooperation, contributing to improving the quality of expert-analytical and legal support for the management of intellectual property rights.
