On September 23, 2022, the opening ceremony of the renovated campus of the FinU residence hall on Baltiyskaya Street took place. After major repairs, more than 500 students will be able to be accommodated in two blocks of the building.

The introduction of the building continues the development of a social youth space concept with an active mechanism of student self-government and adapted to all aspects of student life: learning, sports and creativity.

The solemn ceremony was opened by FinU Rector Prof. Stanislav Prokofiev. “The FinU actively interacts with the regions, providing students from different parts of our country with the opportunity to get a quality education and live in Moscow in comfortable conditions, this is our long-term strategy,” said the Rector.

Stanislav Prokofiev emphasized that the FinU sets itself the task of becoming a Moscow university with the highest degree of rooms’ provision in residence halls by 2024. According to the FinU policy, campuses should be equipped at the level of the best world standards. The Rector also noted that the FinU will continue to implement infrastructure projects aimed at creating comfortable conditions for students.

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Airat Gatiyatov addressed the participants of the ceremony with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he stressed the importance of creating a comfortable and modern infrastructure of the University.

Anastasia Shampurova, Chair of the Student Council of the FinU, thanked the management of the University on behalf of the students.

The official part of the event was completed with an excursion, during which the FinU executives and guests visited several renovated rooms of the campus and had a talk with students.
