On September 14, 2022, the opening ceremony of the educational and scientific experimental Psychology Laboratory took place at the FinU. The platform work will allow students to study the main modern methods and tools of the psychologist’s activity during seminars, coaching sessions and experiments.
The new location was opened by Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector. In his welcoming speech, Rector Prokofiev noted the increased demand for psychologists and stressed the importance of fundamental knowledge in this field for specialists in Economics and Management.
“Fundamental psychological training combined with the practical aspects of its application is the main task of the profile department. We are sure that the laboratory will be in demand. I would like you, thinking about development, to combine a new concentration with the traditional FinU advantages – useful practice in Economics and Finance,” said the Rector.
Head of the Department of Psychology and Human Capital Development Marina Polevaya, in turn, expressed gratitude to the FinU administration for their support in working on an innovative platform.
“A good command of psychology is especially relevant today, and we are happy that our students can study the most modern methods in practice,” said the Head of the Department.
Working in the Laboratory will allow students to deeply study the psychology of perception, focused on practice and business, the psychology of attention, as well as get acquainted with a variety of psychodiagnostic practices for analyzing personality traits.
During the event, the guests of the Laboratory saw the work of the polygraph and discussed its features, as well as they watched some other tools and specialized programs.
