On September 8, 2022, a significant cultural event dedicated to the 875th anniversary of Moscow took place at the FinU - the exhibition of paintings by Irina Kukolkina, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, designer, restorer, art ambassador of New Business People.

The exhibition is held within the framework of the project “New Business People – PEREDVIZHNIKI – CITIES”, organized by the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the National Foundation for the Support of National Programs (NFSP.RF) and the magazine “New Business People”. 

The exhibition was opened by Ekaterina Kameneva, Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Work of the FinU, noting that FinU promotes the development of educational, professional and socio-cultural skills. Events of this format should be developed in the future.

The guests of the exhibition were welcomed by the artist Irina Kukolkina. She thanked the University administration for the opportunity to hold an exhibition at the FinU. The author noted that with her works she strives to show the beauty and calm energy of the city.

The General Director of the publishing house “Project Media Group”, Deputy Director of the National Research Institute for the Development of Communications Alina Gasumyanova, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine “New Business People” Galina Skorobogatova, Head of the Department of the English Language and Professional Communication Professor Marina Melnichuk and Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists Professor Pavel Seleznev also made welcoming speeches.

The speakers emphasized the uniqueness of the author’s paintings with vivid Moscow, its views, customs and life of the capital’s citizens, and noted that Irina Kukolkina’s canvases reflect the spirit of our city – mysterious, energetic, wayward and romantic.

Among the numerous guests at the exhibition were:

·         Veronika Kosenkova – Honored Artist of Russia, director, laureate of domestic and foreign festivals;

·         Irina Konstantinova – Academician of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio (EATR);

·         Gennady Pravotorov, Soviet and Russian artist and teacher, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation;

·         Dmitry Alexandrov, Vice-President of the CSKA Hockey Club, member of the Board of Trustees and alumnus of the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications.
