On July 2, 2022, the State Kremlin Palace hosted the Graduation Ball of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. FinU administration, faculty, alumni and their parents traditionally gathered on the main stage of the country. This year, more than 5,000 people have confirmed their qualifications in Moscow. Every fourth university alumnus has received a diploma with honors.

 

The holiday was opened by Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector.

“On this solemn day, we are leading more than 11 thousand of our alumni to the world of great professions. Today, not only graduates of 2022, but also of 2020 and 2021 are present in the hall with us. Congratulating you on this significant day, I would like to wish you to be creative about your work, to be able to implement the knowledge and skills acquired at the University, and most importantly – to love our homeland and serve it and its people,” said Rector Prokofiev.

 

He also stressed that over its long history, the FinU as the leading university to train financial personnel, has trained over one million specialists, including the government chairmen of the USSR and Russia, federal ministers, deputies of the State Duma and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, governors, bank managers, business representatives. “Our alumni keep in touch with the FinU, and I want you to keep the memory of it, the doors of the Financial University are always open for you,” added Rector Prokofiev.

 

Anton Siluanov, Dean of the Faculty of Finance, Minister of Finance of Russia became the guest of honor. In his welcoming speech, he noted that graduation is one of the most significant days in life. Anton Siluanov stressed that a long way passed during his studies at the University, but more needs to be learned in the future: it is important to constantly improve your knowledge and to achieve high professional results.

 

Roman Artyukhin, Head of the Federal Treasury and Daniil Egorov, Head of the Federal Tax Service also addressed their congratulations to the alumni.

Roman Artyukhin emphasized that the FinU alumni received the necessary knowledge and skills to build a successful career: “You are starting a long and interesting journey that will allow each of you to discover your talent.”

 

Daniil Egorov stressed that one of the most important skills acquired during his studies at the university is the ability to learn. Also, he noted that it is important to maintain the ties formed during his studies at the university and preserve traditions.

 

As part of the solemn event, the guests of honor presented diplomas to the FinU alumni with the highest score.

 

The guests of the festival also saw performances by FinU creative teams. Alumni were also congratulated by popular artists: the TODES show ballet, Yulia Savicheva, Artem Kacher and others.

Concluding the official part of the event, Stanislav Prokofiev expressed gratitude to the FinU administration, emphasized the role of the faculty and thanked Mikhail Eskindarov, FinU President and Alla Gryaznova, FinU Honorary President.

 

At the end of the holiday, the FinU anthem was successively sung by the University choir.
