On June 23, 2022, the results of the XIII annual National University Ranking of the Interfax Information Group were published.
FinU has risen by one position compared to the previous year and entered the Top 20 of the National University Ranking-2022, taking 20th place and gaining 561 ranking points.
The National University Ranking-2022 consolidated ranking is based on six parameters: educational activity, research activity, social environment; internationalization, brand and innovation.
FinU traditionally demonstrates high results in the parameter “Education”, which evaluates the high level of the educational process organization and students’ practice arrangement, as well as the work of the FinU with schools. According to this parameter, FinU ranks 20th.
Interfax researchers highly appreciated the FinU activity in the development and implementation of the socio-economic development programs of the country, region, and city. This also includes the FinU internal social environment development (parameter “Socialization”, 8th place).
The international activity indicators have improved compared to the previous year (parameter “Internationalization", 16th place).
According to the parameter “Brand”, which evaluates the university communications’ development and its perception by target audiences, FinU ranks 17th.
About the ranking
A study of the university activities has been conducted by Interfax since 2010. Its main goal is to develop mechanisms and procedures for an independent evaluation system of Russian universities and their educational programs, to increase the Russian education system competitiveness, scientific research and technological entrepreneurship, and to develop federal and regional universities.
The assessment was carried out based on processing data from questionnaires filled out by university representatives, available public data posted by educational institutions on their websites, public data from the information resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, as well as information from the Interfax information and analytical systems - SPARK and SCAN.
