June 3rd, 2022, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the Competition “Laureate of Rector of the Financial University – 2022” took place in the Great Hall.
This year the prize has been awarded for the 9th time. The competition was established at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation in 2014; it immediately received a lively response, and over the years, 1905 people became participants, including 195 awarded the title of Laureate. This year, 22 participants have become the winners of the competition.
Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector started the awarding ceremony. In his welcoming speech, the Rector thanked all the participants for their creative initiative, congratulated the laureates on their well-deserved victory and emphasized that the competition had rightfully become “a driver of innovation and opportunities for upward social mobility for employees and students.” Stanislav Prokofiev also spoke about the differences of this year’s competition and said, “This year, a record number of applications were submitted for the competition – 128 out of 273 employees and students of the FinU. The nomination “For Contribution to the Research Activities of the University” was the most popular among our colleagues, it received the largest number of applications – 21. Among the students, the nomination “For Academic Achievements” became the leader – the commission reviewed 59 applications.”
Another significant innovation of this year’s competition was the nomination “Golden Fund of the Financial University: The Best Faculty”, which remarks the faculty with high marks and positive feedback from students, including within the sociological survey “Teacher Through the Eyes of the Student”.
Also, for the first time in the history of the competition, awards were presented to the laureates by three generations of Rectors of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation – Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector, Mikhail Eskindarov, FinU President and Alla Gryaznova, Honorary President of the FinU.
