Assessing the college activities, Stanislav Prokofiev noted: “This is our first time in Dagestan and it is a great honor for us. It was no coincidence that we chose this particular branch: we heard a lot about it and decided to get to know its work and provide support.”

Rector Prokofiev also held a business meeting with Sergey Melikov, Head of the Republic of Dagestan. The event was also attended by Ruslan Aliyev, First Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan; Dmitry Semenov, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Work with Authorities and Beksultan Beksultanov, Director of the Makhachkala branch of the FinU.

The parties discussed the role of the college in the republic’s socio-economic and innovative development and possible prospects for cooperation, considering the need to train young personnel for the Dagestan economy. For example, the possibility of training middle-level personnel for the digital economy is being considered. It is planned to relay FinU experience of this kind to the regional level. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to support the Makhachkala branch of the FinU considering the material and technical base development, new educational programs and financial support of the educational process.
