On April 26-27, 2022, as part of the annual conference of the ANO “Russia – the Country of Opportunities” entitled “On the Same Wavelength with Universities – 2022”, 22 Competence Centers were simultaneously opened in different regions of the country, including the Competence Assessment Center of the Financial University.

The conference is devoted to the development of interaction mechanisms between leading Russian universities, interested federal government bodies and the presidential platform “Russia – the Country of Opportunities” to identify and support talented youth, as well as to support and develop projects that contribute to the personal and professional self-realization of young talents.

One of the important topics of the conference was the results of the project “Assessment and Development of Managerial Competencies in Russian Educational Organizations”. Thanks to the project, students and young people can get  their managerial competencies and supra-professional skills assessed by experts.

Within the framework of the conference, the Center for Assessment and Development of Managerial Competencies of the ANO “Russia – the Country of Opportunities” was officially launched at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

“According to the research, one of the main values of young people is the possibility of self-realization. Together with the Ministry of Education and Science, the platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”, within the framework of the project to create centers for assessing and developing professional competencies in Russian universities, launched an assessment, which has already been passed by more than 115 thousand students,” said First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko in his address to the rectors of universities.

The competence centers will implement the best practices for evaluating the leading projects of the platform (including the “Leaders of Russia” competition) and various projects on individualization of training. Students will be able to take a test to assess their competencies in leadership and management areas, receive recommendations for their improvement and development, as well as plan an individual educational trajectory, which will be developed jointly with universities. As a result of completing individual educational programs, students will be able to receive relevant documents that will be accepted by employers.

“Currently, to build a successful career it is not enough to have only professional knowledge. Students and alumni need supra-professional competencies, especially in terms of their practical application. We are pleased to open the Competence Center of the presidential platform “Russia – the Country of Opportunities” at our University. This will allow us to train young specialists who are maximally adapted to the challenges of the modern labor market. The Competence Center will provide an opportunity to build career development trajectories for young people, effectively use the opportunities provided and fully realize the role of the university in the formation of qualified specialists,” said Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Alexey Komissarov, Director General of ANO “Russia – the Country of Opportunities”, noted that 42 Competence Centers were created in 22 regions of the country over the year, covering more than 60 universities. The platform’s projects not only contribute to the rapid and transparent career growth of students, but also promote the university’s brand in the youth and professional environment, create additional opportunities for internships  at leading industry enterprises, and help universities implement the requirements laid down in federal state educational standards for interactive teaching methods.

The project has a network of ambassadors (more than 500 students) who share and transmit the values and ideology of the project in the academic community. In the summer of 2022, a large-scale program of interaction with ambassadors is planned to be implemented in terms of additional development of their competencies on the basis of the participating universities of the project.

Within the framework of the conference, the second set of participants in the project to create Competence Centers based on Russian educational organizations was announced as part of the execution of the order of the President of Russia: at least 25 new universities from all federal districts of the country are expected to be included in the project.
