On April 11, 2022, the qualifying and final competitions for participation in the Final of the X National Championship “WorldSkills Russia” started in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Rector of the Financial University Stanislav Prokofiev arrived in the republic to participate in the opening ceremony of the final competitions in the field of “Banking”, held on the basis of the Ufa branch of the Financial University. The opening ceremony was also attended by Minister of Finance of the Republic of Bashkortostan Lira Igtisamova, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bashkortostan Aybulat Khazhin, Head of the Federal Treasury Department for the Republic of Bashkortostan Svetlana Marvarova and Marat Kashapov, Manager of the National Bank for the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Bank of Russia.
“I did enjoy participating in the opening of the Final of the X National Championship “Young Professionals” in the field of “Banking” in Ufa,” said Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University. “We see how the management of the republic pays special attention to and cares about the materials and technical equipment provided for the professional education system in Bashkortostan. For its part, Financial University is ready to join the work on training personnel for financial and credit institutions and authorities of the region.”
“The Worldskills Russia Championship is a great opportunity to try your hand at the profession, strengthen faith in your abilities, find friends and like-minded people. The list of competencies includes the field of “Banking”. It is worth noting that competitions in this field are held in the republic for the first time. Let me remind you that last year the Final of the IX National Championship “Young Professionals” included fields such as “Finance” and “Insurance”. These are very popular professional areas for the country’s economy,” said Lira Igtisamova, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Bashkortostan, on welcoming the participants and organizers.
Participants from 30 regions of Russia will compete in competitions in the field of “Banking”. From each region, the winner of the regional championship participates in the final competition, being accompanied by a fellow expert.
“The Championship is the most important event for the republic, the purpose of which is to increase the prestige of working professions and train qualified workers in the production sectors of the economy. The final competitions are equated to the Final of the X National Championship “Young Professionals”, said Aybulat Khazhin, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bashkortostan. “New modern workshops based on colleges, equipped with high-tech equipment, which allowed to organize the work of competition venues at a high level, became the legacy of the IX National Championship, which was held in Ufa in 2021,” Head of the Department noted.
Also, within the framework of the visit of Rector of the Financial University Stanislav Prokofiev to Ufa, a working meeting was held with Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov.
“Financial University is a significant unit in the country;s higher education system. For many years, it has been successfully training in-demand professionals for the financial and banking system, accounting, economic services of many enterprises and organizations of our republic and country,” Radiy Khabirov noted.
The participants of the meeting discussed the possibility of opening new sought-after programs on the basis of the Ufa branch of the Financial University, increasing the admission numbers, including places on a budgetary basis, as well as the prospects of opening specialized courses for high school students on the basis of one of the Ufa schools.
