Aziza Azizova, Head of the Department for Working with Applicants, commented on the established simplified procedure for recognizing education and qualifications received in foreign universities,
“Russians who have graduated from universities in unfriendly countries will be able to resort to a simplified procedure for recognizing foreign education and qualifications.”
Earlier, direct requests for diploma confirmation were sent from Russia. Now this has become difficult. And if the graduate was educated at a foreign university with which Russia has an international agreement on mutual recognition of education, the qualification recognition procedure is not required. If there is no such agreement, the decision will be made by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor).
