On February 17, 2022, by decision of the Advisory Board of the International Network on Financial Education under the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD, Paris), Financial University was admitted as an affiliate member of the OECD/ INFE.

Affiliate membership status is granted to national non-governmental, not-for-profit organizations, academic institutions, industry associations or foundations working in the field of financial literacy and education.

Established in 2008, the International Network on Financial Education brought together national institutions of 130 countries, functioning in four working groups: standard setting, implementation and evaluation; financial education and the impact of digitalisation; financial education in the workplace; the impact of ageing populations and the needs of older consumers. This work is recognized at the global level, at the G20 and APEC forums.

The OECD/INFE Research Committee is represented by professors from Princeton and Turin universities, leading universities in Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and other countries.
This opens new opportunities for direct participation of the FinU experts in the activities performed by the OECD working bodies, the OECD global forums dedicated to financial education. FinU will be consulted systematically and in priority when a financial document is issued by the OECD/ INFE for public consultation. The University will be participating in special sessions of the Technical Committee by the decision of the Advisory Board as well as sessions of the OECD/ INFE working groups.

Admission of the Financial University as an affiliate member of one of the most influential and prestigious economic international organizations of 38 leading economies of the world is an act of recognition of significant potential and authority in the field of financial education; it is a sign of “quality” of a Russian university within the framework of the OECD financial block, an invitation to the club of the global financial elite, and the opportunity to make a worthy contribution to the development of the academic partnership between Russia and the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation.
