From January 27 to January 28, 2022, there will take place an international scientific conference “Architecture of Digital Transformation of Foreign Language Education in Optics of Cognitive Technologies of Vocational English Language Education in a Nonlingual University” organized by the English Language and Professional Communication Department of the Financial University.
The plenary session (January 27, 2022, 10 a.m.) will include presentations by Russian and foreign scholars on digital learning technologies for enhancing the international competitiveness of universities, coaching and neuro-pedagogy in language learning; digital transformation of learning, emotional intelligence in enhancing academic performance and assessment of student competences.

January 28, 2022. There will be 5 sections devoted to the following topics:
· Theory and methods of teaching foreign languages: challenges of modernity;
· Psycho-pedagogical and cognitive aspects in the teaching of foreign languages;
· Intercultural communicative competence in foreign language teaching in higher education;
· Practical aspects of foreign language teaching in higher education;
· Affordances and challenges of teaching language skills.
Members of the scientific community from various universities and educational institutions in the Russian Federation and abroad will compare and analyze leading international practices in the use of cognitive technologies in teaching a foreign vocational language; will highlight the new functions of the teacher in the digital environment and specify the competencies that higher education should form.
