Visit to the Paleontology Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences

On 21 September, 2021 Vice-Rector For International Cooperation Alexander Linnikov paid a visit to the Paleontology Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).  Vice-Rector Linnikov met with the Director of the Institute, Member of the RAS Prof. Alexei Lopatin and arranged for special lectures on natural history and evolution of animal life of Russia and the world, as well as tours to the unique Paleontology Museum for Russian and international FinU students.

“I have visited the Financial University several times as the deputy head of the Federal Agency for Academic Institutions and Deputy Minister of Education of Russia and always pointed out that the Financial Univesity firmly holds and consistently reinforces its position as a leading educational and scientific centre of not only national, but international dimentions.  We are happy to contribute to the broadening of perspective of future young Russian and professionals of humanitarian sphere by introducing FinU students to the work of the Paleontology Institute, as well as the vast and fascinating collection of our Museum”, – says Prof. Lopatin.

The FinU International Team systematically works on social and cultural adjustments of international students in Russia.  In the 2021/2022 academic year lectures of the educational project “RUSSIAN WAY” will prepare international students for the intense program of field trips that now features such a gem of scientific and cultural patrimony of our country as the world-famous Paleontology Museum.
