The 67th anniversary of the Great Victory was traditionally celebrated by the students of the Financial University at the very heart of the
capital. They walked through the centre of the city and eagerly waited for the end of the celebratory parade to congratulate the veterans. To the strains of the wartime songs and martial music, we have come to say “Thank you!” for the Victory, for the new spring, and for life without war. The students listened with interest to the stories of horrible days, pored over the numerous awards and armfuls of carnations brought as a sign of gratitude to veterans.
This good tradition has been with us for years. Every 9 May students come out in the streets to meet and congratulate veterans, and the tradition gets even stronger from year to year.
