Higher Education
International undergraduate and postgraduate students are an integral part of the student body of the Financial University. Today we have more than 370 students from foreign countries.
The Financial University invites foreign citizens to do bachelor's and master's degrees as well as study on post graduate programs. There are two options to get an admission:
- pursuant to international treaties signed by the Russian Federation and intergovernmental agreements of the Russian Federation, at the expense of the federal budget (without entrance examinations);
- on a contract basis with the tuition fees paid by individuals and/or legal entities (depending on the results of entrance examinations).
Since the language of instruction at the majority of faculties is Russian, a good command of the Russian language is indispensable for the successful study of all the curriculum disciplines. That is why so much importance is attached at the Financial University to the teaching of Russian to international students. Those who have a good command of Russian as a foreign language can also take English and other language courses.
Foreign students whose Russian language skills are not sufficient can study at the International Finance Faculty where all subjects are taught in English.
The admission criteria set at the Financial University have traditionally been very high. To provide assistance to foreign students, we run pre-study courses. The language of instruction at the University, including the pre-study courses, is Russian. There are two faculties though with English as the language of instruction - for part of the programme at the International Economic Faculty and for the entire academic process at the International Finance Faculty.
