On 29 September 2011, the Financial University received a delegation of representatives of the system of education from the Republic of Austria: Ms Ursula Mauric, Coordinator of Educational Programmes in the Federal Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture of the Republic of Austria; Ms Dagmar Hackl, Rector of the Vienna University of Education; Ms Svetlana Derbicheva, Board Member and Authorized Representative of the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society in the Russian Federation; Mr. Karl Mezera, an ATM Architektur&Technik executive.
On behalf of the Financial University, the Austrian colleagues were received by Prof. M.A. Eskindarov, Rector, T.V. Lobayeva, Pro-Rector for Capital Construction and Logistic Support, P.S. Seleznev, Director for International Cooperation, O.A. Kofanov, Chairman of the League of Alumni of the Financial University, and other staff members.
The Austrian delegation arrived to further discuss the issues concerning a joint project which both parties are undoubtedly interested in - the opening of a Russian-Austrian school.
As an outcome of two days of fruitful work, the parties agreed to have a meeting in Vienna at the Federal Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture to sign a Protocol of Intent and discuss the key points concerning the construction and financing of the Russian-Austrian School.
The Austrian colleagues expressed their gratitude to the Financial University for a very high level of the organization of their visit, for the efficiency and constructiveness of the working meetings, and for the hospitality.
